CHAPTER 4. FUNCTIONS AND OPERATION OF INPUT AND KINT.

1. KINDS OF INPUT AND KNIT

(See fig. 4-1)

(1) Mode 1 for input and knit :

The pattern will be stored in the first area of memory in the controller and will be

knitted with this pattern.

(2) Mode 2 for input and knit :

The pattern will be stored in the second areas of memory in the controller and

will be knitted with this pattern.

(3) Mode 3 for input and knit :

The patterns for this mode should be stored two times because this is an alternate mode.

The first pattern will be stored in the first area of memory and the second pattern will

be stored in the second area of memory.

These two patterns will be knitted alternately.

The data for chainless system can be input alternately, too(made 1 and 2).

For the first pattern, first chain mode, for the second pattern, second chain mode can be matched.

2. HOW TO SELECT THE WAY OF KNIT AND INPUT

The modes for selection of way of input are only "KNIT" mode or "PATTERN INPUT" mode.

Way of input cannot be selected in any other modes.

(1) Check the current mode and if needed, change it to the possible mode.

(2) If there is no need to change the mode, press "TEST /B" key.

Then, the LCD will be changed to that of in fig.4-1.

(3) Select any one among the menu in LCD by pressing the number needed.

(4) After selection, menu will be disappeared automatically and return to the previous job.
